Storm Begins
As soon as snowfall begins, our crews start working immediately on commercial properties with active deicing and plowing operations.
Commercial Properties First
During active snowfall, our focus is on commercial accounts including parking lots, loading docks, and business access areas. These properties require continuous maintenance throughout the storm.

What happens next?
• You'll be contacted to confirm your request
• Service timing depends on storm conditions and priority category
During snow events, we work extended hours and route crews based on safety and priority. As soon as snowfall starts, we focus first on commercial accounts (de-icing and plowing as conditions require). Once snowfall stops and commercial lots are safe/cleared, we begin our residential route. Exact arrival times vary by storm intensity, travel conditions, and equipment limitations.
Response time depends on storm size, timing, and your service tier. Commercial accounts are prioritized during active snowfall. Residential service typically begins after snowfall ends and our commercial route is completed. Residential priority order is: (1) first responders / critical infrastructure careers, (2) elderly or handicapped clients, then (3) standard residential clients. Same-day service is common, but large storms may require multiple passes.
We're based in Central New Jersey and primarily service Mercer County and surrounding areas (within reason). If you're outside our normal route, submit your address through the form and we'll confirm availability and any travel minimums before scheduling.
Services are tailored to the property and conditions. Options include driveway plowing, snowblowing, hand shoveling for walkways/steps, clearing around parked vehicles as requested, and de-icing for traction and refreeze prevention. We'll follow reasonable on-site snow placement guidelines, but final results can vary based on space, storm intensity, and existing snowbanks.
Yes — we provide de-icing. We can apply rock salt or magnesium chloride (when available), and we can also use customer-supplied product on-site. De-icing needs vary by temperature, sun exposure, and refreeze risk — in very cold conditions, salt alone may be less effective and additional applications may be recommended. Product availability can impact options during major storms.
If you're a returning client, submit your request as a returning customer so we can confirm your details and place you on the active route for the storm. If you're new and want recurring automatic service, submit the form and note that you want to be added to the Snow Call List. We'll confirm pricing, priority tier (if applicable), and how service triggers will work for your property.
We accept Zelle (preferred), credit/debit card (processing fee may apply), check, and cash (receipt provided). You can view our full payment options here: www.ppsgroupnj.com/pay-pps. For most snow services, payment is due upon completion unless you are under an approved commercial agreement.
We can accommodate urgent situations when capacity allows (for example: blocked access, medical needs, or critical access issues). Select the appropriate urgency option in the request form and include the reason. Emergency service is routed ahead of standard requests and may require a higher minimum charge due to dispatch changes and storm conditions.
Once your request is accepted, we'll confirm by your preferred contact method (text/call/email). For scheduled routes, we typically provide an estimated service window rather than an exact time due to changing road conditions, equipment cycles, and prior stops. If conditions require a second pass, we'll communicate that as well.
To quote accurately, we need your address/town, property type (single family, multi-family, commercial), driveway type (paver/asphalt/gravel), approximate size, number of cars/obstacles, walkway/steps details, and which services you want (plow, shovel, snowblow, de-ice). Photos are strongly preferred — they help us arrive prepared and price correctly, especially for tight lots, gravel driveways, or properties that get plowed in by street plows.
